Nutrient solutions should always be kept at the correct pH to enable the plants to uptake nutrients efficiently, this is essential to promote vigorous growth and maximum potential from your plants.
Mills pH Down is a solution of 59% Phosphoric Acid and can be used throughout the growth and bloom/fruiting stages.

Use
Always add nutrients and additives to the nutrient solution and mix thoroughly before adjusting the pH.
The amount of pH down that is required will vary dependent on the water quality and nutrients used.
For hydroponically(water based) or coco coir grown plants, a pH of between 5.7 and 6.2 is advised.
For plants grown in a soil/compost mix, a pH of 6.2 to 6.5 is ideal.
Tips
There are various ways of measuring pH, including simple re-agent test kits, digital meters(we recommend the Bluelab pH Pen or the Essentials pH Meter) and meters that measure both pH and EC(electrical conductivity), the Bluelab Combo or Guardian Monitors are the choice for many professoinal horticulturists.
